Christian Science Practitioners

All Christian Scientists learn to heal themselves and others through silent prayer. (see Healing)  Christian Science has no clergy.  Church services are conducted by Readers elected from the membership.  All important church offices are elective and term limited, and rotation in office among the church membership is an important feature of Christian Science Churches.

Advanced healers can become Christian Science Practitioners, and be listed in the monthly Christian Science Journal.  To be listed, they must demonstrate a number of healings of serious and well documented problems.  Practitioners make their living by guiding others in the practice of spiritual healing, and by engaging in prayer for healing for those seeking their assistance.

Every problem known to human kind can be healed through silent prayer, and students of Christian Science consult practitioners for help not only for physical problems, but with problems in relationships, business, their communities, and every other area of human experience.

A complete list of Christian Science Practitioners can be found in the monthly Christian Science Journal, available for study or purchase at the Christian Science Reading Room at 510 Main Street in Vincennes.
